1. What Fieldhand is
Fieldhand is an online directory operated by Fieldhand LLC that lets agricultural employers and workers list themselves and find each other. We publish listings that users create about themselves. We do not recruit, select, hire, place, or employ anyone, we do not act as a farm labor contractor, and we do not provide legal, immigration, or visa services.
2. H2A employment is handled elsewhere
Any H2A employment resulting from a connection made here still requires the employer to file a Department of Labor job order and a USCIS petition, and to meet every applicable wage, housing, transportation, and recordkeeping obligation. Nothing on this site substitutes for that process or for advice from a qualified attorney or filing agent. Employers are solely responsible for their own compliance.
3. Workers never pay for jobs
Fieldhand is free for workers and always will be. We will never charge a worker any fee to create a profile, be listed, be contacted, or obtain work. If anyone contacts you through this site and asks you for money for a job, a visa, transportation, or “processing,” that person is not acting on our behalf and you should report it to us immediately.
4. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of everything in your profile and for keeping access to your phone number or email secure. One account per person or business. You may delete your account at any time from your profile page.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the text, photos, and videos you upload. By posting them you give Fieldhand a non-exclusive licence to display them on the site for the purpose of operating the directory. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share, anything about another person without their permission, or anything unlawful, misleading, harassing, or explicit. We may remove content or accounts that breach these terms.
6. Automated profile building
If you upload a resume, we send it to a third-party AI provider to extract profile fields such as experience, crops, and skills. The extraction may be imperfect and you should review and correct what it produces. Your resume file itself is stored privately and is not shown to other users.
7. No verification, no guarantees
We do not verify the identity, credentials, immigration status, work history, or business legitimacy of users unless a listing is expressly marked as verified. Listings are provided by users, as-is. We make no guarantee that any connection will result in employment, that any worker will be admitted to the United States, or that any employer will file a petition. You are responsible for your own due diligence before entering any agreement.
8. Messaging
Messages sent through Fieldhand are stored on our systems and are visible to the participants in that conversation. We may access message content where necessary to investigate abuse, fraud, or a violation of these terms, or where required by law. Do not send sensitive personal documents through messaging.
9. Paid listings
Some filing services and other listings may be paid placements. These are labelled “Sponsored.” A sponsored label means the listing was paid for. It is not a recommendation, endorsement, or vetting by Fieldhand.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fieldhand LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, from dealings between users, or from any employment relationship formed after a connection made here. The site is provided without warranties of any kind.
11. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Dakota.
