Who we are

What we collect

Only what you give us, plus basic technical data:

• Your phone number or email address, used to sign you in
• Profile details you enter: name, country, state, work history, crops, skills, education, certifications, availability
• Photos and videos you choose to upload
• A resume file, if you upload one
• Contact details you choose to publish to signed-in members
• Messages you send through the site
• Standard server logs, including IP address, for security and abuse prevention

What is public and what is not

Your profile card — name, general location, status, experience, crops, skills, education, and your profile photo and gallery — is visible to anyone browsing the directory. Your contact details are only visible to signed-in members, enforced at the database level. Your resume file is private and is never shown to other users; we use it once to fill in your profile fields. We deliberately do not publish street addresses or exact locations.

How we use it

To operate the directory, show your listing to other users, let members contact each other, extract profile fields from an uploaded resume, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with the law. We use aggregate, non-identifying statistics to understand how the site is used.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Who processes data for us

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
• Vercel — website hosting
• Anthropic — reads uploaded resumes and search queries to produce structured fields; not used to train their models
• Twilio — sends sign-in codes by SMS
• Resend — sends sign-in codes by email

These providers process data on our instructions only. Some are located in the United States, so if you are outside the US your information will be transferred there.

Your rights

You can view and edit everything in your profile at any time from your profile page. You can delete your account, which permanently removes your profile, photos, videos, resume, contact details, and messages. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to request a copy of your data or object to certain processing — email us and we will handle it.

How long we keep it

While your account is open, and until you delete it. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes. We may retain records where the law requires it.

Cookies

We use only what is necessary to keep you signed in and remember your language choice. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Children

Fieldhand is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors, and will delete any such account we find.

Changes

We will update the date above if this policy changes and, for significant changes, tell you directly.
