Who we are

What we collect

Only what you give us, plus basic technical data:

• Your phone number or email address, used to sign you in
• Profile details you enter: name, country, state, work history, crops, skills, education, certifications, availability
• Photos and videos you choose to upload
• A resume file, if you upload one
• Contact details you choose to publish to signed-in members
• Messages you send through the site
• A record when a signed-in member views your profile, used to show you a recent view count
• Standard server logs, including IP address, for security and abuse prevention

What is public and what is not

Signed-out visitors see only a limited teaser of worker listings: first name, photo, current US state, years of experience, crops, and English level. They do not see contact details, resumes, or full profile fields.

Signed-in members can see full profile details for listings they are allowed to browse. Contact details are only visible to signed-in members, enforced at the database level. We deliberately do not publish street addresses or exact locations.

If you upload a resume, only farms and filing agencies who view your profile can open it (it often includes your full name and phone). That restriction is enforced at the storage layer. You can remove the resume at any time from your profile page.

Profile views

When a signed-in member views a profile, we record that view and show the profile owner a count of recent views. This is not anonymous aggregate data — it reflects individual profile visits by signed-in members.

How we use it

To operate the directory, show your listing to other users, let members contact each other, extract profile fields from an uploaded resume, show owners how often their profile is viewed, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with the law. We may also use aggregate, non-identifying statistics to understand how the site is used.

SMS sign-in codes

When you sign in with a phone number, we send one SMS message per sign-in attempt with a one-time code. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS, or HELP for help.

Phone numbers used for sign-in are not used for marketing. We do not share phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties for their marketing.

SMS delivery is provided by Twilio on our behalf.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Who processes data for us

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
• Vercel — website hosting
• Anthropic — reads uploaded resumes and search queries to produce structured fields; not used to train their models
• Twilio — sends sign-in codes by SMS
• Resend — sends notification emails and agency invites

These providers process data on our instructions only. Some are located in the United States, so if you are outside the US your information will be transferred there.

Your rights

You can view and edit everything in your profile at any time from your profile page. You can delete your account, which removes your account, profile, uploads, contact details, and messages you sent. Messages already received by others remain in their copy of the conversation. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to request a copy of your data or object to certain processing — email us and we will handle it.

How long we keep it

While your account is open, and until you delete it. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes. We may retain records where the law requires it.

Cookies

We use only what is necessary to keep you signed in and remember your language choice. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Children

Fieldhand is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors, and will delete any such account we find.

Changes

We will update the date above if this policy changes and, for significant changes, tell you directly.
